Bi Trans person who wants to look into Catholicism for the first time- Any good advice and/or resources?

Grew up extremely atheist, but have found myself wanting religion in my life and wanting to explore different religions. Catholicism is one of the religions Ive been interested in for a while now, but have always been nervous to explore it due to being trans and bi and past experiences. My only childhood exposure to Christians being my Cousin and Uncle, who have discussed wanting to cause bodily harm to Gay and trans people in the name of religion. Now I'm learning that there are a ton of LGBTQ+ friendly Christians, especially after learning about people like Father Mychal and similar, and that that part of my family's beliefs have nothing to actually do with Christianity. What made me feel comfortable enough to finally look into it is because a close friend of mine who is LGBTQ attends a very progressive Franciscan college and I have only heard amazing things that have broken down a lot of my earlier fears about Catholicism and Christianity in general. So I wanted to know if anyone had any resources or advice for an LGBTQ+ person looking into Catholicism! I don't even know where to start looking so any help at all is greatly appreciated. I appologize if I worded anything wrong and please let me know if I said anything disrespectful
