Why do the wildfolk still fight you? (Spoilers)

At the end after you have the sword of naa, you basically make a public announcement that you are the khemenet, but they still fight you. Shouldn’t they be worshiping you?

I know there’s probably not an actual explanation and it’s just cause you still gotta fight if you want more crystals or something, but still, what’s your head cannon at least?
